DJ Divah K

"The Mixes is Everything!."

Tues · 10PM–MidnightDayton, OH

Cheryl Poe — AKA Divah K Singer | Songwriter | Girl Group Founder | Music Manager | Radio Personality. Cheryl Poe, professionally known as Divah K, was born on June 8, 1969, in Harlem, New York. Born with music in her soul, she developed a love for the arts at an early age, teaching herself to write poetry, stories, and songs. Her passion for music would become the foundation of a lifelong journey through entertainment, group leadership, and radio broadcasting. Inspired by Cheryl “The Pearl” of The Sequence, one of the original female rap groups on record, Divah K was determined to make her own mark in the music industry. Meeting Cheryl the Pearl at her home in South Carolina was a memorable experience. Divah K was later invited to sing background vocals with her in the studio and on stage, an opportunity that further strengthened her dedication to music. At just 13 years old, Divah K was introduced to television through a cable show called The Belizean Girl Cable Show. She formed a group called the Ebony Girls with Dashoun and Shanique, gaining early experience in performing and developing her stage presence. Under the guidance of Ms. Pitts and JR, the girls learned how to pose, dance, and carry themselves like ladies. Divah K recalls those days as a special time, filled with the excitement of performing and the friendships that helped shape her life. Her passion for girl groups continued into adulthood. She went on to form Mystique with Lashaee and Bernice, taking on greater responsibilities in song selection, choreography, wardrobe, venue arrangements, and talent-show preparation. Her leadership abilities grew as she learned the business side of entertainment and helped guide her groups toward success. Never one to give up on her dreams, Divah K later formed another group with the assistance of David Bright and her friend Vantic. The group, named Grown n Sexy (GnS), included Stephanie and Sonee. With Divah K and Vantic working together on harmonies and promotion, the group developed a strong sound and achieved three number-one hits on iTunes, according to her account. Although the group eventually disbanded because of internal disagreements, the experience remains an important chapter in her musical journey. Along the way, Divah K developed lasting friendships, including her lifelong friendship with Roxie Pipersburg, whom she met during her early years performing with the Dreamgirls. She also balanced her creative ambitions with family life, education, and personal growth. After returning to school, she studied Business Management and graduated, strengthening the knowledge she would later apply to her entertainment career. After moving to South Carolina, Divah K discovered Internet radio. Recognizing the potential of her voice and personality, she decided to pursue broadcasting. She embraced the opportunity to promote herself, connect with listeners, and share her passion for music through radio. Her growing interest in media led her to Donald Butler of Testimonialink Media, who offered to sponsor her first website and radio show. That support helped bring her broadcasting aspirations to life and marked another important milestone in her career. Today, Divah K’s story reflects determination, creativity, resilience, and a willingness to keep reinventing herself. From her beginnings in Harlem to girl-group performances, music management, songwriting, and radio, she has continued to pursue her passion despite the challenges along the way. Her journey is a testament to the power of believing in yourself, learning your craft, and refusing to abandon your dreams. Thank you for taking the time to read the story of Divah K. celebration.

"Ladies & Gentlemen, I Am The Culture!"

Mondays · 7PM–8PMAtlanta, GA

Jose Rodriguez, better known as DJ Joe Black, is the CEO of Joe Black Radio and a proud son of the Bronx, New York. Raised on Colgate and Watson Avenue, with roots running deep through Castle Hill Avenue, Joe Black's story is one of culture, rhythm, and relentless passion. Growing up as a young Black Puerto Rican kid in the Bronx during the golden era of hip-hop, he was immersed in the culture that birthed the art form itself. The sounds of turntables spinning, records cutting, and the electric energy of house parties and club scenes shaped his world from an early age. He watched in awe as legendary DJs like DJ Rome, DJ Spontaneous, DJ Kid Capri, DJ Doo-Wop, Dj SNS along with many others, commanded the crowds and moved the culture forward. Their artistry lit a fire in him — a drive to master the craft and carry the torch. Inspired by the greats who came before him and fueled by the rich cultural tapestry of his neighborhood Colgate Ave & Watson Ave in the Bronx. DJ Joe Black transformed that early inspiration into a lifelong pursuit. Today, as CEO of Joe Black Radio, he stands as a testament to the power of representation, perseverance, and the belief that a kid from the Bronx can turn his passion into his legacy. Now an official member of the legendary Crate Runner DJ'S on Crate Runner Radio, DJ Joe Black has found a platform that amplifies his voice and his craft on a global scale. Crate Runner Radio, proudly sponsored by iHeartRadio and Live365 — two platforms well known for making dreams come true and allowing radio stations to be born — has given him the opportunity to express himself and let the world know that he and The Crate Runners are here to stay, ready to leave their mark all across the globe. Commander DJ Latif MasterMusicManipulator A Journey Through Music — 1975 to Present My journey as a DJ began in 1975, when I was just 11 years old. What started as a young boy’s passion for music would grow into a lifelong love, a creative outlet, and a career built on rhythm, dedication, and the ability to move people through sound. In those early days, I didn’t have the professional equipment that DJs use today. I started by piecing together home stereo systems, experimenting with sound, and eventually purchasing a mixer to bring my vision to life. I was determined to learn, improve, and create something of my own. As I grew older and began working, I made it a priority to save my money and invest in professional DJ equipment. Every purchase represented another step forward, bringing me closer to the DJ I envisioned becoming. My journey was built on passion, patience, hard work, and a genuine love for music. I didn’t wait for opportunities to come to me; I worked with what I had, continued to develop my skills, and allowed my dedication to guide me along the way. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of sharing my sound in a wide variety of settings. From local bars and backyard parties to school gyms, church basements, and nightclubs, I’ve brought music to people from all walks of life. I’ve provided the soundtrack for weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, family reunions, and countless other special occasions. Each event has offered a different experience, a new crowd, and another opportunity to create memories through music. My passion has also taken me beyond traditional venues. I’ve had the opportunity to play music on FM radio stations and reach listeners across the worldwide web, extending my sound beyond local audiences and connecting with music lovers wherever they may be. Whether performing in front of a live crowd or broadcasting over the airwaves, my mission has always remained the same: to deliver great music, create an atmosphere, and keep the energy alive. Musically, I refuse to be limited to one genre. My selections reflect the diversity of my influences and my appreciation for the many sounds that bring people together. From the timeless grooves of R&B and Soul to the energy of Hip-Hop and Club Classics, the deep rhythms of Soulful House, and the vibrant sounds of Reggae, my musical range continues to evolve. I also take pride in supporting unsigned artists, giving emerging talent a chance to be heard, while exploring my creativity through remixing music by many mainstream artists. For me, DJing is more than playing records or mixing songs together. It’s about understanding the music, reading the crowd, feeling the moment, and knowing how to take listeners on a musical journey. It’s about blending different sounds, bridging generations, and creating that special connection between the DJ and the audience. Every beat, every transition, and every selection is an opportunity to make an impression. After decades of dedication, learning, performing, and growing with the ever-changing world of music, my love for DJing remains as strong as it was when I first started at 11 years old in 1975. The technology may have changed, the equipment may have advanced, and the music industry may look different today, but the passion that started it all has never faded. That passion, creativity, and ability to manipulate music into an unforgettable experience are what helped earn me the name: COMMANDER DJ LATIF MASTER MUSIC MANIPULATOR This name represents more than a title. It reflects years of commitment, countless hours of practice, a lifetime of musical exploration, and an unwavering dedication to the craft of DJing. From humble beginnings with home stereo equipment to professional setups, live performances, FM radio, and the worldwide web, my story is one of persistence, evolution, and a lifelong connection to music. I started this journey in 1975 as an 11-year-old with a dream, a love for music, and the determination to make it happen. Today, that same passion continues to drive me forward. Music is what I do. Music is what I love. And as long as there are rhythms to explore, crowds to move, and sounds to share, Commander DJ Latif — the MasterMusicManipulator — will continue to do what he was born to do: manipulate the music, move the people, and keep the vibe alive. The journey continues… from 1975 to the present day, and beyond.
